Garret Westlake
Founder and CEO
A higher education professional with over 10 years of experience working in support of college students with disabilities, Westlake leads by example. He uses his personal experience with dyslexia to inspire, motivate, and change attitudes about the role of disability in society.
Westlake has made significant contributions to the field of disability as the Coordinator of Disability Services for Volunteer State Community College, as the Director of the Disability Resource Center for Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus, and in leadership roles for the Association on Higher Education and Disability, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, and the Tennessee Department of Education.
In 2010, Westlake was awarded the Outstanding Support of Student Leadership Award by Arizona State University.
A recognized speaker and expert on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in higher education, Westlake has presented at national conferences, individual colleges and universities, and for parent and advocacy organizations. He currently serves as a board member for Phoenix-based New Way Academy’s Bridgeway transition program.
Westlake has an MEd in special education from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. He holds a BA from Carleton College in Cognitive Science, where he graduated with distinction.
